How has Salsa/Latin dancing affected your life most?

Latin dance has been my job now for well over five incredible years, and has really captured that "doing what you love" feeling.

What did you want to be growing up?

I wanted to be a pro baseball player for the Chicago cubs.

What do you like most about being part of the Latin Rhythms Family?

Our relationship doesn't end at the studio. We literally are a family, in good (and bad) times. We share such an infectious passion... music & dance, so there's never a quiet moment with each other.

What advice would you give to a BEGINNING SALSERO? - - Someone who may, at first, be intimidated to learn salsa... but truly wants to become a great Salsero/Salsera!

Advise. Never stop practicing make sure you work on your weakness, because no matter how much you hate to spin, style, do footwork, etc., with practice everything eventually falls into place.

Please give your dance background and technical experience

I am a product of Latin Rhythms. I started dancing all my Latin styles in their most basic levels. A year later I was invited to join the dance company. Shortly after this, and with a few additional months of apprenticing, I became an instructor.
